Just can't believe it's the end of August already! We've had a fantastic time as always in Maine and have had many friends visit us here this year. We got to share some of our favorite activities with them which included strolling the waterfront of Stonington and the Farmers Market for handmade crafts and locally grown and caught food, picnics on various islands and of course, sailing!
Our garden at the cottage gave us lots of color, although not quite as early as in previous years. The winter was a long, cold and snowy one and spring got off to a late start.

| Our Summer Retreat |
It's been a beautiful summer with warm (sometimes hot!) sunny days and cool nights. This morning it's actually quite crisp - in the 50's! We will begin our to-do list before we close up the cottage and point Exile south to warmer weather. We hope to spend some time exploring more of the Chesapeake this fall.
Below is a scrapbook summary of the things we love most about summering in Maine.
So will begin the next chapter of our journey beginning just after Labor Day. Stay tuned!
